About FABF
The Faculty of Accounting, Banking and Finance (FABF) is a successor of the then departments of banking (the oldest department at the Institute) and department of professional accountancy. FABF was established in July, 2010 after the approval of a new IFM Organization Structure. Currently, FABF is the largest faculty at the Institute; it has two departments: Department of Banking and Financial Services and Department of Accounting and Finance. There are forty seven (47) academic staff permanently based in the faculty and a total of more than 5,000 registered students in eleven (11) programmes: undergraduate and postgraduate. The Faculty offers undergraduate programmes leading to the awards of Certificate in Banking, Certificate in Accountancy, Diploma in Banking, Diploma in Accountancy, Bachelor degree in Banking and Finance, and Bachelor degree in Accountancy. It also offers postgraduate programmes namely; Postgraduate Diploma in Accountancy, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management. Furthermore the faculty offers Masters of Science in Finance (in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde, UK), Master of Science in Accounting and Finance and Master of Science in Finance and Investment. Most of these programmes are taught at thre teaching centers: Main Campus (Dar Es Salaam), Mwanza Teaching Center, Dodoma Teaching Center.
